The entry list for round nine of the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship, the Spa World RX of Benelux (21-22 November) has been published by the FIA.

Following four double-header weekends to start the 2020 season, World RX’s second ever visit to the world-renowned Spa-Francorchamps Formula 1 circuit will return to a traditional single-round format.

Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson – the Kristoffersson Motorsport driver – leads the 2020 World RX Drivers’ Championship and although he has a comfortable lead margin, Sweden’s Mattias Ekstrom has not yet given up hope of a second World RX title and will once again race with KYB Team JC in Belgium after his guest appearance at the same event last season.

In addition to the permanent teams and drivers, Xite Racing’s Oliver Bennett, from Great Britain, will make his third start of the season at Spa, along with Belgium’s Enzo Ide, the Team JC Raceteknik driver, who made his World RX debut at Spa in 2019. Finland’s Juha Rytkonen will make his first appearance with the Ferratum Team’s Ford Fiesta.

The third and final round of the 2020 FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar will be held alongside World RX at Spa-Francorchamps. 22 drivers from nine different nationalities will take part, led by Sweden’s Oliver Eriksson (Ford Fiesta), the winner of the first two rounds of the season in Holjes-Sweden and Riga-Latvia. France’s Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (Peugeot 208) and Norway’s Sondre Evjen (Volkswagen Polo) hold second and third in the standings, but Norway’s Ben-Philip Gundersen (Audi S1), France’s Andrea Dubourg (Peuegot 208) and Sweden’s Peter Hedstrom (Volkswagen Polo) are all in the hunt for a top three finish to the season.

After missing round two, Sweden’s Pontus Tidemand will return with a Hedstroms Motorsport Volkswagen Polo and Hungary’s Mark Mozer will join Attila Mozer in a pair of Peugeot 208s. A number of French drivers will cross the border to compete, including rallycross legend Herve Knapick (Citroen DS3). Hungary’s Luigi, who had planned to race in Catalunya RX, will instead make his Euro Supercar debut in a Skoda Fabia at Spa
